Certified SOC Analyst (CSA) –EC-Council & IIIT Kottayam

The Certified SOC Analyst (CSA) Programme is a specialised cybersecurity training initiative delivered by the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Kottayam, an authorised Education Partner and Examination Centre for EC-Council certifications.

This programme is conducted for officers of the Kerala Police – Cyber Operations Division as part of an advanced capacity-building initiative to strengthen Security Operations Centre (SOC) capabilities within law enforcement.

The training focuses on real-time security monitoring, threat detection, log analysis, SIEM operations, incident triaging, and structured incident response methodologies. It equips participants with the technical and analytical skills required to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats such as ransomware attacks, phishing campaigns, malware infections, insider threats, and network intrusions.

The programme integrates SOC architecture understanding, centralised log management, correlation rule development, MITRE ATT&CK mapping, threat intelligence utilisation, and incident reporting standards. Through hands-on laboratory exercises and simulated attack scenarios, participants gain practical exposure to alert investigation, IoC analysis, escalation workflows, and professional SOC documentation aligned with law enforcement operational requirements.

The course also prepares participants for the official EC-Council Certified SOC Analyst (CSA) certification examination, conducted at IIIT Kottayam.
