Bridge Course for Cyber Commandos – 2025

The Bridge Course for Cyber Commandos – 2025 is an online foundational training program for the Cyber Commandos selected under the national cyber security initiative of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, delivered by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Cyber Security), Indian Institute of Information Technology Kottayam.

This program provides essential baseline knowledge in core technical domains that are required before the commandos undergo the long-term advanced cyber security and forensic training. The course covers:

    Network models, IP addressing, troubleshooting, network security basics

  • Fundamentals of Python Programming
    Variables, data types, loops, functions & file handling

  • Operating Systems & Linux Fundamentals
    Processes, permissions, system administration & shell scripting

  • Information System Security Basics
    Threats, vulnerabilities & real-world cybercrime case studies

  • Fundamentals of Cyber Security
    Risk management, controls & incident handling basics

🎓 Training Methodology

  • Daily 1-hour recorded video sessions posted every Morning on LMS

  • Weekend live online lab sessions via Zoom

  • Hands-on practical tasks and activity-based learning

  • Video archives and reference notes are accessible throughout the course

📝 Evaluation

A final online examination will be conducted through the LMS during Week 5 to assess the understanding of all covered modules.
